Selected projects from more than 25 years of development work, from business applications and database backends to long-term maintenance of existing systems. Every project was done by me directly, with no outsourcing and no account managers.

Beyond the Public Portfolio

The projects featured here represent only part of my development experience. Much of my work involves confidential business applications, long-term development partnerships, and software built for companies that deliver or resell these solutions to their own customers.

Because of confidentiality agreements and other commercial considerations, that work isn't shown publicly. It includes complete application development, complex database systems, integrations, ongoing enhancements and support for business-critical software.

Custom Business Applications

iCare Diagnostics mobile phlebotomy and lab testing platform

iCare Diagnostics — Custom Healthcare & Phlebotomy Platform

The need: A mobile phlebotomy and lab-testing business needed a platform where patients can find lab tests, order and pay online, schedule a blood draw at home or at work, and submit prescriptions for review.
What I did: Developed a custom PHP and MySQL web application covering an online lab test catalog organised by category, a cart and checkout with Stripe payments, appointment scheduling for each order, patient accounts with one-time-code login, prescription upload and review, a referral portal for physicians and providers, email and SMS notifications, and an admin panel for orders, refunds, tests, pricing and site content.

Long-term development & support

Syntezza

The need: A biotech company needed an ongoing technical partner to maintain and evolve both its public website and the internal backend system its staff use every day.
What I did: I serve as their long-term webmaster and developer, handling both the website and the office backend program.
The result: Both systems keep running reliably as the company’s needs evolve.

Registration & database system

Jerusalem Consulting Group

The need: A consulting firm needed registration for its fundraising conferences, management of its foundation database, and a way for users to register for materials and newsletters.
What I did: Custom registration and newsletter applications with a full backend where staff manage newsletters, documents and registrants, including automated exports to their newsletters.
The result: In the client’s words, the custom databases “helped us manage all this data cost effectively and efficiently.”

Secure client portal

The need: An accounting firm needed a secure portal where clients could log in and download their tax documents, filtered by year and document type.
What I did: Built a secure document management portal. The accountant uploads documents through a backend; clients log in and download their own files.
The result: Documents no longer need to be distributed by post or email.

Custom back-office systems and database-driven backends that let clients run their operations without depending on a developer for every change.

What I did: Built a 100% custom shopping cart and a comprehensive backend covering stock, inventory, orders and reporting.
The result: The client has complete operational control.

What I did: Built a custom online store with a comprehensive admin panel for categories, specials, book listings and advertising.
The result: The client manages all of this independently.

What I did: Built, and continue to maintain, a dynamic site with a custom Q&A system. The client controls all content updates through a backend.
